Monday 20th Sept. 5.30 - 6.30 pm BST (Online)
Students from the University of Aberdeen’s Creative Writing for Medics course launch Verbal Remedies IV, a chapbook of their latest writing, with readings and discussion.
Students from the University of Aberdeen’s Creative Writing for Medics course launch Verbal Remedies IV, a chapbook of their latest writing, with readings, reflections on their experiences as aspiring medics in this time of pandemic and the importance of creative expression to their lives and learning.
Every two years, students from the UoA Creative Writing for Medics course, which runs as part of the Medical Humanities programme, publish a chapbook of their best writing called Verbal Remedies, which is then available in return for charitable donations.
The Covid 19 pandemic has delayed the publication of Verbal Remedies IV, which now contains a bumper crop of three years’-worth of excellent student writing. Join this event to hear some of the contributors read their work and find out more about how writing creatively plays a part in the lives of these medical students and the shaping of the doctors of the future.
