In Love Marriage Yasmin Ghorami, a trainee doctor in present-day London, struggles with class differences, family secrets, and cultural divides in the run-up to her marriage to the charismatic, upper-class doctor Joe Sangster. Love Marriage is currently being adapted for television in conjunction with New Pictures.

Monica Ali has written five novels (Brick Lane, Alentejo Blue, In the Kitchen, Untold Story and Love Marriage). She has been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Booker Prize, and was named one of the 20 best young British novelists under 40 by Granta in 2003. Her work, which has been translated into 26 languages, is known for its insightful and heartful observation of character and exploration of cultural identity in contemporary society.
