Let's Dance Workshop - Enjoy Movement and Make your own Choreography

Let's Dance! A movement workshop suitable for all ages, bodies and dance experiences. Together we will move, explore choreographic techniques used to create dance and have the opportunity to create our own dances. Everyone is welcome!
Laura Booth is a dance artist who is passionate about bringing dance into community settings to share the benefit and joy of movement with all. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2019. Laura is the director of Fusion Youth Dance Company, where she works to develop young dancers' confidence, creativity, physicality and develops performance opportunities for the company. Laura works with people affected by cancer, parkinson’s, children in hospital, people living in care homes, children and adults with additional support needs. Laura has performed works by Fleur Darkin, George Fellows, Jen Wren, Rosie Mackley, Skye Reynolds and 'What Moves You?'. Laura has recently completed an internship at Citymoves where she developed her teaching practice in inclusive dance. She established the initial connection with the Ukrainian community as they arrived in Aberdeen, sharing movement sessions with them. Laura is currently creating a performance piece for cancer support centres, exploring the themes which surround a cancer diagnosis.
Fusion Youth Dance Company is Citymoves Dance Agency's flagship youth company under the direction of dancer and choreographer Laura Booth. Based in Aberdeen, the company is for young dancers aged 12-18. Fusion works with a variety of choreographers and regularly performs on stage and outdoors. Recently, the company has created pieces with All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre, Katie Armstrong, Rosie Mackley and Dawn Hartley, and worked with Steven Martin to create a new outdoor piece for Spectra.
