ABOUT THE EVENT

Please note: due to the impact of Covid-19, this event will now take place online as a live stream. Register below to receive a link to the online webinar. Time has remained unaltered.

Aberdeen contains many hidden narratives just waiting to be discovered: there are sites associated with the city’s slavery history, others with the visit of black feminist and civil rights movement founder Ida B. Wells, there are residences of unconventional writers and artists, of troublemaking women from supposed witches to confirmed suffragettes, and suppressed stories of gay and trans citizens to uncover. Members of Aberdeen Women’s Alliance will lead a virtual tour around such places, opening your ears to some of the rebellious voices and transgressive secrets of the Granite City.
